The cottage is amazing, we had a lovely stay here. The interior is full of character and the River at the back adds to its charm. The location is perfect for walks exploring the area, the welcome hamper was a lovely touch and the communication with the hosts was excellent too — Sarah, 03 Feb 2025

Beautiful location on the river for a relaxing weekend. House was so well equipped we really couldn’t fault it in any way and so clean! The coffee machine was great, the bbq had charcoal ready to use, the welcome hamper was very thoughtful and there was even a dog bed and two water bowls and treats for the dogs. Lovely gardens and spacious parking.The river Severn at the bottom of the garden was a major attraction for us.To top it all, the hosts were friendly, helpful and professional. Outstanding cottage for our 3 generation party of 6. Many interesting things to see and do. A pass plus for Ironbridge museums etc well worth it. Wroxeter Roman City and The Wrekin also good visits. — Mike , 10 Apr 2024

An excellent weekend in an amazing cottage. Full of character, very welcoming and comfortable. The owners had gone to great lengths to think of everything we might need. The Tumbling Sailor is a wonderful location and home. We felt right at home, from visiting the pub steps out the front door to spending the time in Ironbridge. Everyone in town was friendly, including on my run around the town. We saw historic museums, beautiful scenery, and some very happy (and muddy) puppys. The Tumbling Sailor is a wonderful location and home. We felt right at home, from visiting the pub steps out the front door to spending the time in Ironbridge. Everyone in town was friendly, including on my run around the town. We saw historic museums, beautiful scenery, and some very happy (and muddy) puppys. This was a fantastic location and my family and I would happily stay again!

Beautiful house, perfect location and great hosts! The Tumbling Sailor was lovely, we had everything we needed. The kitchen was fully equipped with absolutely everything you would have at home and more!! The property was set in a great location to access all the beautiful walks in the area and 15 minute walk from Ironbridge.
